Alcohol and Substance Abuse
Life
style factors are an important part of physical causes of
erectile dysfunction.
Clinical studies conducted so far prove that a different
way of managing one's life may prevent or decrease the risk
of impotence. Abusing alcohol or illicit substances often
leads to sever forms of erectile dysfunctions. Alcoholism
doesn't only cause nerve damage, but it also leads to atrophy
of the testicles and low levels of testosterone.
Medical
surveys claim that over 80% of chronic alcoholics suffer
from chronic impotence.
Furthermore, substances like marijuana, heroin, cocaine,
etc contribute in larger or shorter periods of time to a
complete loss of sexual response and to vascular and nervous
system damages.
