Viagra (sildenafil) is supplied as blue, film-coated, rounded-diamond shaped tablets available in 25mg, 50 mg or 100mg form.most patients are recommended a 50 mg dose taken approximately 1 hour before sexual intercourse. The dose may be, however, increased to a maximum prescribed dose of 100mg or, on the contrary, lowered to a 25mg amount. If taking a dose of 100mg, patients may only take it once a day.
The administration of the drug must consider the interaction with other drugs such as ritonavir, when it is recommended not to overpass a maximum single dose of 25mg of Viagra in a 48-hour period.
